Another Blockbuster Performance

On the heels of the Patriots video scandal and immediately prior to The Emmy Awards, T.O. decided to keep the focus on those behind the camera with his old-school cinematographer touchdown celebration during my beloved Dallas Cowboys 37-20 win, their second to open the season.  In addition to T.O., MB3 had another great game, and Tony Romo was solid once more, including a spectacular touchdown pass with his knee about an inch off the ground in the middle of being (almost) sacked.

But the real story of the game was the Cowboy defense, who took advantage of a woefully inept Trent Green en route to capitalizing on four interceptions and a turnover by the embattled Dolphin QB.  The Cowboys actually trailed 13-10 early in the 3rd quarter, so if the Dolphins had an even marginally competent QB, this game would have been a lot closer.  Fortunately for the Cowboys, they get to face another weak QB next week in Rex Grossman, although the stout Chicago Bear defense will definitely be their toughest test of the year so far.  But if they continue to follow Romo’s lead and play with swagger, they just might march into Soldier Field and emerge victorious.
